Skype Officially Launches Its New Call Recording Feature

Skype, the well-known communication platform owned by Microsoft, has officially introduced its long-awaited call recording feature. To activate the feature, users simply need to update Skype to the latest version. During a call, tapping the “+” button and selecting “Start Recording” is enough to begin capturing audio and video.

Automatic Privacy Notification

Once the recording begins, Skype automatically notifies all participants in the call. This transparency aims to prevent potential legal issues. After the call ends, the recording is saved as an MP4 file and can be downloaded to a device or shared through various options.

Recordings Stored in Cloud for 30 Days

Skype stores the recorded calls on its cloud servers for 30 days, giving users sufficient time to save or share the recordings. The feature is especially useful for business meetings, remote work, online classes, and teleconferences.
